Description
Designed to be 100% bolt on for your 82-92 Camaro / Firebird coupe (does not fit convertible), this kit requires no welding and can be installed using hand tools.
This kit also clears all stock exhaust components while closely following the floor pan contour assuring you a close fit and maximum ground clearance. The included crossmember features a mount for SW adjustable torque arm which can be purchased separately and installed along with the subframe connectors and crossmember, or you can retain your O.E.M.torque arm and mount.
The connectors and crossmember are fabricated from 1-1/2″ x .065″ wall chromoly tubing and feature water jet cut brackets for exact fit. These components are hand assembled on a custom welding fixture and TIG welded for high strength and ease of installation. All of the above components are powder coated silver for a long lasting, durable and attractive finish.

Installation Instructions
1. Raise and support car and rear housing. Remove front seats and carpet.
2. Support transmission in front of crossmember and remove transmission crossmember.
3. Remove front bolt on driver's side rear lower control arm.
4. Temporarily install the driver side subframe connector. The back of the connector fits over the front of the stock control arm mounting box. The front of the connector bolts between the stock transmission crossmember and the stock subframe. Do not reinstall the stock crossmember at this time. Hold the connectors in place with OEM bolts.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the passenger side.
6. Install the new crossmember provided. Note, this crossmember does not replace the stock transmission crossmember.
7. Mark the location of all the holes that are to be drilled.
- Floor Pads, (9) 3/8" Holes
- Front Subframe Brackets (4) 5/16" Holes
- Rear Control Arm Box (4) 5/16" Holes
- Rocker Pads (8) 5/16" Holes
8. Remove crossmember and subframe connectors and drill all holes.
9. Install subframe connectors, crossmember, drive shaft loop, transmission mount and all hardware.
10. Back hole in front of subframe bracket is used for fixturing. Do not use for installation.
Note: The mounting tabs on top of the crossmember are for use with S&W Performance Group torque arm 40-601 not included in this kit.
