Description
Rear Spoiler Kit for 1964-1966 Ford Mustang Coupe, Fastback and Convertible.
The racer will be able to gradually add downforce to find the ‘sweet spot.’ This is where maximum downforce is being applied without sacrificing speed. Slight adjustments may need to be made throughout an event, due to changing track conditions, or tuning and suspension adjustments. The ability to adjust the spoiler will provide the racer with an advantage.

Installation Instructions
S&W Performance Group's 1964-1966 Ford Mustang Deck Lid Spoiler kit fits Coupe, Fastback, and Convertible. The kit includes the spoiler, upright mounting brackets, and right angle mounting tabs and was designed with no holes drilled into the spoiler to let the customer customize the fit to their car.
Fasteners are not included, but all holes in the brackets are sized for 1/4"-20 hardware.
1. Assemble brackets using the desired length hardware and desired width spacers between the upright brackets (see photo).
2. Apply painters tape to trunk lid and quarter panel extensions to prevent scratching the cars finish while mounting the spoiler and drilling holes.
3. Lay assembled brackets on the trunk lid with the bottom rear edge of the upright mounting bracket in line with the body line split between the quarter-panel and the quarter-panel extension.
4. Measure brackets evenly to your desired spacing, tape brackets to the deck lid, and mark your mounting holes to the top of the deck lid.
5. Hold spoiler in place behind the brackets, and mount to your desired height using tape to hold it in place. If you experience flex in the spoiler making it hard to keep flat, use a long piece of wood or a long cardboard tube taped to the back of the spoiler to keep it rigid. The spoiler should be mounted roughly 1/4" off the deck lid, but this is customer preference.
6. Mark drill holes in spoiler.
7. Once everything has been marked, drill mounting bracket holes through the deck lid, and bolt brackets to the deck lid using desired hardware.
8. Once all mounting brackets have been fastened to the deck lid, drill (1) hole through the spoiler on each side of the car that corresponds to the marks you made in Step 6.
9. Mount spoiler with desired hardware to the brackets using the (2) holes you drilled in Step 8. Once the spoiler is tightened down, double check all remaining drill hole marks you made in Step 6.
10. Drill remaining (10) holes through the spoiler and fasten spoiler to the brackets using your desired hardware.
